1920s French Painted Stone Storks from a Zoo in Alsace, Mounted on Iron Bases

A grouping of three French painted stone storks from Alsace from the early 20th century, mounted on iron bases and sold individually. Ask any person in France which animal is the symbol of Alsace, everybody will respond: the stork! Every spring season, this wading bird comes back to the Alsace region, making its nest on church bell towers, and houses. It is no surprise then, that our grouping of three painted stone storks comes from an Alsatian zoo. Mounted on an iron base that evokes their long legs beautifully, it is likely that they had been installed in the ground. Highly decorative, these French storks from the 1920s are priced and sold individually: $985 each. We have additional storks available, contact us to know more. The dimensions mentioned are for the tallest one, but they range from 8″ to 10.5″ wide and from 22″ to 35″ high.
