This pair of French Régence style 19th century high slanted back “fauteuils à la Reine” are upholstered in a smooth muslin that contrasts nicely with the warmth of the walnut wood. The chairs are raised on four simple cabriole legs gently resting on hoofed feet. The skirt is adorned with a delicate motif, made of a carved shell flanked with lovely volutes.
