An English leather over camphor wood trunk with brass studs from the mid-19th century. This English rectangular brass bound trunk features two lateral carrying handles. The escutcheon has the shape of a shield. The top is adorned with additional brass studs placed in a cartouche manner, around the central engraving “AEA”. Opening the lid reveals the inner wooden storage, paper lined at the top. The contrast between the dark leather and the shiny brass would make this English camphor wood trunk, circa 1870 a great decorative object.
