An Austrian Biedermeier period table with lyre shaped legs and round top from the mid-19th century. This Biedermeier table circa 1840 features a circular top adorned with radiating veneer, surrounded by a dark banded inlay. The apron is decorated with a single drawer, with partitioned space and small cushion dedicated to receiving sewing needles. The top is raised on two graceful lyre shaped legs, gently raised on a lower shelf. The ensemble rests on four ebonized ball feet. The lovely proportions of this table, combined with the exquisite contrast between the warmth of the veneer and dark banding make this Austrian table a great side table for any living room, hallway or bedroom.
